The use of foreign words by the written media and politicians has become a very pronounced habit which does not contribute at all to the preservation of the Albanian language. We notice the phenomenon of using foreign words, especially English ones, even among young people. Unlike young people from other countries, we notice a refusal to use correct Albanian words among our youngsters. This rejection is best seen in the young people’s insistence on using foreign words in order to appear more intellectual in their writing and speech.
This awareness campaign aims to bring the foreign words most used by the print media, politicians and our youth. For each foreign word, we will bring the equivalent Albanian word.
